India’s national flag, the Tiranga, has a profound symbolic meaning that captures the spirit of the country’s freedom, unity, and identity. With its lively culture, rich history, and persistent spirit of independence, it is a potent symbol of the ideals and hardships of the Indian people. The “Tiranga,” a three-colored flag, represents the combined efforts of millions of people who battled for India’s independence and still inspires pride and patriotism in Indians all over the world.
The Indian flag’s journey started long before the country attained independence. Just weeks before India gained independence on August 15, 1947, the Constituent Assembly of India approved the Tiranga’s current design on July 22, 1947. Nonetheless, the flag’s development began in the early 1900s.
